Nutrition Month Journey

"Food at Nutrition Security, Maging Priority"

                    Nutrition Month is an annual celebration in the Philippines held every July. It was established by Presidential Decree No. 491, also known as the Nutrition Act of the Philippines. This law was created in 1974 to generate public awareness of the importance of proper nutrition.

                    Now, the law is still striving to make us aware of the importance of nutrition throughout our lives. In this particular program, schools are very active in reminding students of the crucial role of nutrition. In my school, Ilocos Sur National High School, we still continue to participate in the program since it was stopped 5 years ago because of the devastating outbreak. Our school provided a lot of fun activities last month, like participating nutringle, selling nutritious food, and a lot more.

                    But this month was wonderful as I explored wonderful adventures. I was a participant in the nutrijingle. I had a lot of fun, but school requirements are behind my back, so yeah, 50/50 stressed. Although I didn't have any experience back then, I still worked hard to keep up with the other members. First and foremost, my voice is tired from the repetition of singing, but we produced a great song due to the mixture of our voices. After recording, it was time to generate the steps of our song to make it more presentable and cheerful. It was time to explore  Vigan because it was the time when we shot our Music Video. We had fun, laughing, and playing throughout that day, and it was amazing. We congratulate ourselves as we heard "then, it's a wrap" because we bond together as one without any violence passing through us, and thanked the people who supported us to join the regional nutrijingle making. Days and weeks went by, and it was the release of results. We were shocked that we’re in the 3rd place at nationals without any expectations to be far like this. Those times were amazing as we coordinated with each other as one section. Because "All is Well Maxwell", congrats, team MAXWELLNESS!
